Healing in the Crossfire is an interactive, half-day training designed for therapists seeking to support a diverse range of clients impacted by political anxiety.
In today's charged sociopolitical climate, many clients - especially those from marginalized communities-are navigating fear, grief, and uncertainty tied to policy, rhetoric, and collective trauma. We want to help you feel more equipped to support clients from diverse backgrounds through these feelings.
Workshop Objectives:
- Define political anxiety and identify how it manifests in diverse populations.
- Recognize cultural, historical, and identity-based stressors that intensify political anxiety.
- Apply culturally responsive, trauma-informed strategies to support clients.
- Practice interventions to reduce political anxiety in session and build client resilience.
- Explore your own biases and emotional responses to political content in therapy.
